Hello, I’m Amari
“Central Community House is a great place. Something new happens every day and they are always willing to help me.”
For 11-year-old Amari, Central Community House is a family affair. She and her older twin sisters, Arleea and Jalaya attend our after school program, summer camp, dance classes and cooking classes. But her family’s involvement doesn’t stop there. Her grandmother and great-grandmother actively participate in our Senior Program and her family regularly attends holiday events and community celebrations together.
Central Community House has become more than a place for her family to come together, it’s a way of life. It’s a place where she can make new friends and try new things. Additionally, it’s a place where she feels comfortable asking for help with her schoolwork and expressing herself through singing. In fact, Amari had not one, but two solos in our Summer Camp Showcase last year. But most importantly, Amari knows that Central Community House is always there for her and her family.
