Introducing Allie Cozzone, Associate Director of Central Community House

Central Community House is pleased to introduce its new Associate Director, Allison “Allie” Cozzone. In this role, Allie will provide leadership, and will be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs; and guiding strategy that results in strong teams and high impact programming.

When asked about what Allie most looks forward to about coming to Central Community House, she responded, “I'm really excited to join such a passionate and talented team of individuals who are deeply committed to this community and its residents. I'm looking forward to learning from and collaborating with the staff and stakeholders as we work together towards advancing CCH's mission!”

Although Allie is relocating to Columbus from Cleveland, she is no stranger to the capital city. She received her undergraduate degree from Ohio Wesleyan University. During that time, she volunteered at a reading program in Linden. It was there that Allie was first introduced to AmeriCorps, and the concept that service could be a career. After serving for a year with City Year Cleveland, Allie went on to pursue her Master’s in Public Health from Tulane University in New Orleans.

Allie then returned to Cleveland where she began her professional career with America SCORES, a program aiming to empower youth through sports and creative expression. She later rejoined City Year as permanent staff, managing a team of AmeriCorps members, serving in the school in which she had volunteered previously. This experience had a profound impact on Allie, challenging her to be more aware of the intersections between identity and privilege and her own role in dismantling systems of oppression. Most recently, Allie served as the Learning and Evaluation Director with City Year. In this role she focused on the annual training and professional development of AmeriCorps members, while also overseeing the site's data collection and analysis.

When not working, Allie enjoys reading non-fiction, cheering on the Cleveland Browns, and exploring nearby parks and trails. She looks forward to getting reacquainted with Columbus and all it has to offer!

Please join us in welcoming Allie to our Central Community House family! If you would like to connect directly with Allie, she can be reached at acozzone@cchouse.org.
