COVID-19 Updates
We want to assure you we are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation. We need your help to do our best to keep all members of our community as safe as possible.
Our buildings and programs engage people of all ages ranging from babies to seniors over the age of 90. Some community members may have health challenges making them very vulnerable to this virus.
At this time, we are taking the following measures, in effect through April 3rd, 2020 (to be reassessed at that time):
All senior social programming and group transportation is suspended. Seniors will still be able to access assistance over the phone.
After-School programming will be suspended beginning Monday, March 16th through April 3rd, and will be re-evaluated at that time.
TRANSIT ARTS programming will be suspended beginning Monday, March 16th through April 3rd, and will be re-evaluated at that time.
Our building will be cleaned thoroughly once per week, in addition to daily existing efforts.
Open Mic and large volunteer engagement projects will be canceled. In lieu of a Community Dinner on March 25th, to-go meals will be available for pick-up on a first-come, first-served basis.
What can you do?
PLEASE do not come to Central Community House if you are sick!
Please wash your hands for at least 20 seconds and avoid touching your face.
Please use the hand sanitizer that you will find throughout our building.
We know it is hard to do but this, but please avoid close contact such as hugs and handshakes.
Please be sure we have updated contact information for you so that we can let you know if we have to cancel any further programs or events.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact us!
